Hadleigh celebrates as Tesco drops store plan

A market town is claiming victory after the supermarket giant Tesco has decided to give up a long-running campaign to build a store.

There has been local opposition in Hadleigh, Suffolk, ever since Tesco made its first application. Its most recent proposal was rejected in September and now the company says it is giving up.
