Blythburgh A12 flood defence project begins

Work has begun on a £1.4m scheme to protect the A12 at Blythburgh in Suffolk from flooding.

Huge earth banks are being built to protect the road as it crosses the Blyth Estuary.

The new flood defence banks should be completed by July with landscaping work scheduled for the autumn.
