Lovejoy: Long Melford keen on show's return

Rumours of Lovejoy returning to TV have been welcomed by people in Long Melford, where the popular programme was filmed in the 1980s and 1990s.

Ian McShane played the charismatic antiques dealer in the show, which ran for 71 episodes between 1986 and 1994.

Tony Jordan, the man behind shows including Hustle and Life on Mars, is said to be developing a new script for the show, according to the Radio Times.

Mike Liggins visited Long Melford to find out the local reaction.
