Brighton pensioner told to clear rubbish from garden

A Brighton pensioner has been given one month to remove piles of rubbish up to 4ft (1.4m) tall from the front garden of her home.

Olive Taylor, 87, has been taken to court after complaints from neighbours about the state of her garden.

The pathway leading to the front door of her council house is lined with rubbish including food packaging, rotten fruit, clothing and newspapers.

Miss Taylor who is registered as blind, said: "No-one has complained to me."
