Shoreham airport under water after tidal surge

Shoreham airport was under water after the Sussex coast was badly hit by a tidal surge that also flooded roads and put railway lines out of action.

Firefighters had to pump water from homes in the area and commuters found services from Brighton and Seaford were suspended.
