Joshua Charnley guilty of assaulting Lekshmanan Asokkumar

A teenager has been found guilty of assaulting a petrol station manager who he left with brain damage after he stole fuel from a garage in Kent.

Joshua Charnley, 19, of no fixed address, drove into Lekshmanan Asokkumar at the Texaco station at West Kingsdown, near Sevenoaks, on 31 July.

Det Ch Insp Jon Clayden said the family hoped a significant sentence would be passed on Friday.
