Oh! What a Lovely War remembered in Brighton
As part of its commemorations of World War One, BBC South East Today hosted a screening of the 1969 British film Oh! What A Lovely War at the Duke of York's Cinema in Brighton.
The directorial debut of Richard Attenborough was filmed in and around Brighton and told the story of the members of one family who served in the war.
The cast list read like a Who's Who of British cinema in the 1960s.
After Monday's screening four actors and family members who were involved took part in a question and answer session.
Charlotte Attenborough, daughter of Lord Attenborough, Hayley Mills, daughter of one of the film's stars Sir John Mills, and cast members Maurice Roëves and Angela Thorne answered questions from the audience.
