Battle of Lewes tapestry unveiled

A tapestry made by volunteers to commemorate a battle fought 750 years ago in Lewes has been unveiled in the East Sussex town.

Embroiderer Maggie Lanning told BBC reporter Mark Sanders the tapestry had captured the devastation of the Battle of Lewes, and designer Tom Walker said the fact that a great many people died should be shown and remembered.

Tristan Barehams from the Sussex Archaeological Society said hundreds of people had got involved in commemoration events.
