Hastings centre stands by for extra orphaned seal pups

An animal rescue team in East Sussex is ordering extra fish by the bucket-load, as it prepares to deal with an influx of grey seals from Wales.

Mallydams Wood RSPCA Centre in Hastings is helping with a backlog of orphaned seal pups after a centre in Pembrokeshire closed down.

Mallydams Wood has also returned to the wild a pup rescued by divers in Sandwich Bay in Kent. He was the youngest ever taken in at the centre and his umbilical cord was still attached.

South East Today's Nafisa Sayani spoke to Elaine Crouch and Richard Thompson at the centre.
