Brighton Stanmer Park lottery bid result expected
A country estate on the outskirts of Brighton will be restored if a multi-million pound bid for a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund is successful.
The South Downs National Park and Brighton and Hove City Council have bid jointly for funding to restore Stanmer Park, which dates back to the 18th Century.
An announcement is expected in the next few days.
BBC South East Today's Mark Saunders spoke to Trevor Beattie, chief executive of the South Downs National Park Authority and Paul Campbell from the city council.
