Southern 'has made our lives much more difficult'

History teacher Matthew Lewis has said the new Southern timetable effectively cancels the Seaford to Brighton service and is a disaster for his town and Newhaven.

He has to commute from Seaford to Worthing via Brighton, but said he now has to leave home earlier and will get back later in the evening.

It means he will miss breakfast and dinner with his family.

"We are still paying the same but getting a much, much worse service," said Mr Lewis, who has a two-year-old son.
