Hospital trust reacts to damning report

Brighton and Sussex University NHS Trust has been placed in special measures after inspectors deemed it unsafe and poorly-led.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) said hospital bosses had little insight into safety issues and "seemingly little appetite to resolve" them.

Medical director Dr Stephen Holmberg says that moving forward the trust will try to ensure patients are treated safely and get the dignity and respect they deserve.
