Bumpy pavements 'force' Hove wheelchair user onto busy roads

An electric wheelchair user has said the state of her local pavements is so hazardous that she is forced onto busy roads.

Ann Agnew said tree roots were growing through the asphalt of paving slabs near her home at Hove, East Sussex.

She told BBC South East Today she had been asking Brighton and Hove City Council to take action for two-and-a-half years.

The council said it would try to contact her this week "to further discuss her concerns and see whether we can resolve them".
