Troubled Brighton NHS trust 'not taken over'

A new NHS chief executive will lead a hospital trust which has been placed in special measures from 1 April, but she insists it is not a "takeover".

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals will be led by Western Sussex Hospitals (WSH) for at least the next three years.

Marianne Griffiths, who will be chief of both trusts, said WSH had been asked by NHS Improvement to provide support and stability.
