Afghanistan doctor brings skills from the front line to Middlesbrough

The work of trauma centres at North East hospitals is being highlighted in a series of special reports on Look North.

Dr Mike Davison treated wounded soldiers on the front line in Afghanistan and is now leading the trauma team at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

Dr Davison said he learnt a lot of lessons in Afghanistan and he has worked hard to implement them at the major trauma unit.
