Redcar election candidates face BBC hot seat

The BBC Look North hot seat has been to Redcar to turn up the heat on the area's General Election candidates.

Members of the public gave four candidates a grilling over issues including minimum wage, the spare room subsidy and university tuition fees.

In the hot seats were Christopher Gallacher for the UK Independence Party, Liberal Democrat Josh Mason, Labour's Anna Turley and Conservative Jacob Young.

Also standing in Redcar are Philip Lockey for the North East Party and Peter Pinkney for the Greens.

The hot seat will be in Stockton South next week.
