County Durham pupils set up 'Fuel for School' to cut food waste

Four schools in Ferryhill and Chilton have started the 'Fuel for School' project involving weekly deliveries of surplus stock from supermarkets.

This is sold on market stalls run by the pupils, for parents to buy on a pay-as-you-feel basis.

The move cuts down on food waste and helps support low-income families.
