Killer driver Ashley Lindo jailed after police pursuit
A Teesside driver who knocked down and killed a boy on a footpath eight years ago is back in jail after he admitted leading police on a high-speed pursuit.
Ashley Lindo, 24, reached speeds of up to 60mph in a 20mph zone, Teesside Crown Court heard.
Lindo, of Orwell Street, Middlesbrough, admitted dangerous driving in the town and was jailed for 18 months.
He spent 18 months in a young offenders' institution after killing Daniel Conroy-Curtin, eight, in 2006.
Daniel died from brain injuries after being hit by a stolen car that Lindo was driving.
