Organ donor decision 'gave me focus'
The widow of a cyclist who died 12 weeks after becoming the father of twins has said arranging for his organs to be donated "gave her focus" after the tragedy.
Andy Charlton, from North Shields, suffered fatal head injuries on a cycle ride close to his home on 9 August.
His widow Katy said organ donation was close to the couple's hearts, after it emerged their two-year-old son Oscar would probably need a future lung transplant, having being diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
She explained her decision to Look North's Martin Forster.
