North East boys join Lord of the Flies dance show

Sixteen boys from the North East will make their professional theatre debuts in a touring production of Lord of the Flies.

The production of William Golding's novel adapted for dance by Matthew Bourne will be at Newcastle Theatre Royal, with local boys cast alongside the professional dancers.

About 300 youngsters auditioned for the show.

BBC Newcastle's Martin Forster went to a rehearsal to see how the chosen few were getting on.
