New heart teen home for Christmas

A teenager was home for Christmas weeks after undergoing a heart transplant.

An urgent appeal was made in November to find a new heart for 14-year-old Chloe Beaney after doctors said she may only have had days to live.

A new heart was found and on Christmas Eve, doctors said Chloe was well enough to return to her Cramlington home.

She said she was especially looking forward to being reunited with her dog.

BBC Newcastle's Mark Denten went to visit her before she left Newcastle's Freeman Hospital.
