Legal high addicts talk of damage caused by Damnation

Two addicts who take a so-called legal high said they have spent £800 on the substance in the past three weeks.

Speaking exclusively to BBC Look North's Damian O'Neil, the pair said the drug, known as Damnation, has ruined their lives.

One of the addicts, known as Michael, said he was stealing bikes to fund his habit, but on one occasion fell asleep while in the middle of a theft.

Damnation is marketed as incense and is marked as not for consumption, but addicts have spoken about its effect when taken as a drug.
