Consett farmer sells five sheep for Great North Air Ambulance

A farmer has sold five sheep to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance to thank it for visiting him twice.

The charity first came to Colin Whitfield's aid when he fell through a roof at his farm in Consett.

The air ambulance then came to the rescue of a rider who came off her horse at Mr Whitfield's farm, prompting him to raise funds for the service.

Phil Chapman reports.
