Alan Barnes attacker Richard Gatiss jailed for four years
A man has been jailed for four years for assaulting disabled pensioner Alan Barnes.
The 67-year-old suffered a broken collarbone when he was knocked to the ground outside his Gateshead home in January.
The attack prompted beautician Katie Cutler to set up an online appeal which raised £330,135.
After sentencing at Newcastle Crown Court, Mr Barnes said he hoped prison would give Richard Gatiss, 25, "time to reflect" on what he had done.
