Durham soldiers faced Belsen concentration camp horror

Close behind the soldiers who liberated the notorious Belsen concentration camp at the end of World War Two were men from the Durham Light Infantry.

Seventy years later there is to be a special memorial event at Durham Cathedral for them and the captives they helped.

The last living member of the regiment bears witness to the horrors of the camp.
