Northumbria police commissioner candidates in the hot seat

They control budgets running into hundreds of millions of pounds and can hire and fire police chief constables.

Next week, police and crime commissioners will be elected in the Northumbria, Durham, Cleveland and Cumbria force areas.

BBC political correspondent Luke Walton has taken Northumbria's candidates to Sunderland to answer questions from the public.
