School 'tells special needs pupils to stay home' during inspection

A voicemail message has emerged of a school asking a parent to keep her child with special needs home while an Ofsted inspection takes place.

The mother said she received the call from Wiltshire's Matravers School suggesting that her autistic son take an "authorised" absence.

The school has since apologised for any misunderstanding.
