World War II Guinea Pig Club play opens in York
A play telling the story of pioneering plastic surgery performed on injured airmen in World War II has opened in York.
The play is called the Guinea Pig Club and takes its name from the group formed by RAF crew who suffered burns during combat.
They received treatment from plastic surgeon Archibald McIndoe at a hospital in Sussex.
