DUP and UUP in turbulent times

The Lagan Valley MLA Basil McCrea has resigned from the Ulster Unionist party.

Last night the South Down MLA John McCallister also quit the party.

Their move follows the decision by the Ulster Unionists and the DUP to back an agreed candidate - Nigel Lutton - to contest the Mid Ulster by-election.
