Ian Paisley dies: Ballymena journalist reactions

Two journalists in Ballymena, County Antrim, Ian Paisley's home town, have been giving their reaction to the death of the former DUP leader.

Ballymena Guardian editor Jim Flanagan called Mr Paisley a charismatic politician, saying that while people have their differences with him, he was into the business of reconciliation.

Peter Murtagh of the Irish Times said Mr Paisley was a man who used to live on sectarian hatred before subscribing to the Good Friday agreement
