Northern Ireland cultural events face funding cuts
Several high-profile cultural and sporting events in Northern Ireland are facing significant cutbacks in their public funding.
It follows a decision by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI) to scrap the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) events fund.
The department said the cuts were the result of a "very difficult financial" situation facing the Northern Ireland Executive at Stormont.
Events including the North West 200 and Culture Night Belfast will be affected.
