McGuinness: Gregory Campbell comments were 'a disgrace' and 'shameful'
Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has said comments made by DUP MLA Gregory Campbell were a "disgrace" and "shameful".
Mr McGuinness was speaking at Stormont after Mr Campbell told told delegates to a party conference the DUP would treat Sinn Féin's "entire wish list" as no more than toilet paper.
Mr McGuinness also criticised comments Mr Campbell made at the conference, and in the assembly earlier in the month, that nationalists said were disrespectful to the Irish language.
DUP leader Peter Robinson told Mark Carruthers on the BBC's Sunday Politics that people had over-reacted to Mr Campbell's conference remarks and that it was "a bit of comedy".
