Election debates: BBC Trust's decision 'defies belief' says DUP's Nigel Dodds

Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) deputy Leader Nigel Dodds has says the BBC Trust's decision to reject the DUP's appeal "defies belief" and "is wrong, irrational and unjust"

The DUP appealed to take part in TV debates ahead of the general election after it was excluded.

The parties invited to take part in the debates are the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats, UKIP, SNP, Plaid Cymru and the Greens.

The DUP is the biggest party in Northern Ireland and the fourth largest party in the House of Commons.
