Villiers: No more money for welfare reform in Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland Secretary of State Theresa Villiers has said there is no additional money for welfare spending.

She said that it would be unfair to fund a more expensive welfare system in Northern Ireland compared to the rest of the UK, and any additional spend would need to come from the block grant.

It follows Monday's decision by Sinn Féin to withdraw its support for a welfare reform bill.
