Theresa Villiers meets Northern Ireland parties over welfare

Talks between the Northern Ireland Secretary of State Theresa Villiers and the political parties aimed at breaking the deadlock on welfare reform have ended at Stormont without agreement.

The discussions came after First Minister Peter Robinson warned that the assembly could collapse next week if welfare reform is not agreed.

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness said he did not jump to ultimatums.

BBC News NI Political Correspondent Stephen Walker reports.
