Aer Lingus sale: IAG says 'Belfast could benefit' after proposed takeover

Belfast could benefit from a takeover of Aer Lingus, International Airlines Group (IAG) has said.

Chief executive Willie Walsh said the firm will continue to serve the Northern Ireland market and that he "sees opportunities" in Belfast

He was speaking in Dublin after the Irish government agreed to sell its 25% stake in the airline.
