Woodburn Forest: Protester in stand-off on oil drill

A protester involved in a stand-off between environmentalists and a company, Infrastrata, which wants to drill an exploratory oil well at a County Antrim forest has climbed on one of the drills.

Mark Chapman said he had enough food to last two days. He has been warned he could be charged with obstructive sitting by police.

Campaigners claim the well in Woodburn Forest could impact the water supply.

Northern Ireland Water, which has leased the site, said it was confident there is no threat to the water supply.
