The Somme: Piper's Lament at Connaught Cemetery

The Piper's Lament begins as the Royal Irish Regiment lay a wreath at Connaught Cemetery.

The cemetery, on the edge of Thiepval Wood near the Ulster Tower, contains memorials to soldiers who were killed in 1916.
