West Belfast home for vulnerable women to close

A hostel for vulnerable women in west Belfast is to close later this month.

Regina Coeli in Andersonstown is home to 20 women with mental health issues, alcohol and drug problems.

Up to 20 staff at the the hostel, which has been in existence for 80 years, will lose their jobs.

Resident Josie Bennett, who has been lobbying politicians to get the decision overturned, said the women who live there are "devastated".
