BMA's Dr Vautry: 'This is not something doctors want'

Dr Richard Vautry, a GP and spokesman for the British Medical Association, said the new powers for doctors on buying drugs were not asked for and are not wanted.

The government announced that from 2014, NICE will only be allowed to provide guidance on treatments and groups of GPs will decide whether a new drug should be funded or not.
