Transport Secretary Philip Hammond on UK travel problems
An urgent review has been launched into how Britain's transport infrastructure has coped during the cold spell.
Travellers using roads and railways are struggling to get into work and two airports - Edinburgh and London Gatwick - are still closed.
Transport Secretary Philip Hammond has asked the chairman of the RAC Foundation, David Quarmby, to complete a review before Christmas.
Mr Hammond updated the House of Commons on travel disruptions caused by severe weather in many parts of the UK.
