Labour's Stephen Timms: 'There just aren't the jobs there'

Labour's Employment spokesman Stephen Timms has said there is a problem with a lack of jobs, after Prime Minister David Cameron set out plans to overhaul the welfare system.

Changes introduced by the government include a "universal credit" and sanctions for people turning down job offers.

Labour backs some changes but says help for people to find work is inadequate.
