Alan Johnson depressed that unions oppose AV voting change
Former Home Secretary Alan Johnson, who is backing a Yes vote in the May referendum on the voting system, claims "every union" is set to oppose the change and this was "depressing news".
But he reckoned the Yes campaign would still win the vote on changing the voting system from first-past-the-post to alternative vote (AV) in which voters place candidates in order of preference.
