Chancellor's Budget message from Hull and Yorkshire

Lowering VAT and loosening planning regulations are on the wish list from businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire.

Susana Mendonca tested the water of what people want from Chancellor George Osborne's Budget, in an area which is relatively dependent on the public sector and faces £65m in cuts to services.

She spoke to bus company chief engineer Dave Heptinstall, Polly Anna shop owner Paula Jones and Glenn Aitken, the finance director of Neptune Renewable Energy.

The BBC's Budget coverage will come from Westminster, the City and Hull on Wednesday from 1130-1530 GMT on Wednesday, live on BBC Two, the BBC News Channel and online.
