Tuition fees would rise without £9,000 cap, says vice chancellor
Essex University vice chancellor Colin Riordan claims the £9,000 cap on tuition fees is stopping universities charging even higher fees.
Liberal Democrat deputy leader Simon Hughes claims the Office For Fair Access will have the powers to stop universities from charging the highest fee of £9,000, but NUS leader Aaron Porter doubts these power will be used.
