Nick Clegg pledges social mobility 'fairness'
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has pledged to give everyone a "fair chance" of success as he launches the government strategy on social mobility.
The government says while only 7% of people attend fee-paying schools, they make up more than half of those in top jobs in most professions.
Mr Clegg told BBC Breakfast that Whitehall work placements will be opened up to all youngsters, and more businesses will be encouraged to do the same.
