Clegg: Everything is done 'as fairly as possible'

Nick Clegg has used a campaign speech for the local elections in England to praise the achievements of the coalition government - and launch a scathing attack on Labour, accusing them of putting politics before people.

Addressing Liberal Democrat candidates in Sheffield, the Deputy Prime Minister said his party's councils had helped to protect services better than Labour and Conservative ones.

He urged them to get out there and shout Liberal Democrat successes from the rooftops.
