Cameron: AV rejection is 'clear and resounding'

Prime Minister David Cameron has welcomed voters' rejection of the alternative vote system, describing the outcome of Thursday's referendum as "clear and resounding".

Counting continues but more than two-thirds of those who took part in the poll opposed replacing the current method for electing MPs with the AV system.
