Lib Dems 'feel vindicated' by PCC ruling, says Cable

The Daily Telegraph did not have enough evidence to justify its decision to secretly tape Liberal Democrat MPs, a media watchdog says.

Among those taped by reporters posing as constituents was Business Secretary Vince Cable, who was recorded saying he had "declared war" on Rupert Murdoch.

In response to the ruling, Mr Cable said he was "delighted with the outcome" and "the Liberal Democrat ministers, as a group, feel vindicated".
