David Cameron meets Libya rebel leader at Number 10

David Cameron has met the head of Libya's National Transitional Council, Abdul Jalil, at Downing Street.

The Prime Minister said that the UK would provide millions of pounds worth of equipment to police in the besieged city of Benghazi.

Mr Cameron said he had invited the council to establish a formal presence in London. Mr Jalil thanked the British people for their support.
